Autonomous Camera platform

Description

The rover is getting close to its first test. Waiting on the Zed RGB-D camera to get here. Hoping to take it to the desert for some milky way slider time lapse early in the new year. Why carry equipment when your bot can carry it for you right Not far from where I'm planning on going they are conducting the long term living and working experiments for the upcoming Mars missions. Might be able to create a little mischief there It has Lidar for after dark operations. A light level sensor switches from the Zed to the lidar unit. So its possible to unload in some parking lot and send it on its way to do the photo sequence and come back. Away from any light without me doing any walking. The company I bought all the metal parts has sliders and gimbals which fit on the base plate I used on the mast. It will easily handle a couple of DSLR's or a DLSR and video camera. Almost cool enough here to get the rig out and get some astrophotos. Been awhile its going to be like starting over. Glad I took a break from it though I was getting really frustrated. I am going back to the EF 400 though. The scope is awesome but too hard for me to handle and get out to the yard. And a little too heavy for the type of mount I have. It needs much wider legs and that is going to be more weight too so the EF400 and possibly a teleconvertor will be my set-up going forward.
